Brightwater is seeking an Engagement Coordinator to join our Disability Services team on a fixed term part-time basis, working 38 hours per fortnight for 12-month maternity leave cover until September 2026.
The engagement coordinator/admissions coordinator proactively and professionally engages with referrers, clients and other key stakeholders, e.g. families, guardians, service coordinators, Department of Health, hospitals and other government/governing agencies to:
- ensure a business development/ case management approach in conjunction with Brightwaters policies and processes;
- provide best-practice and consistent client experience across the entire on-boarding process; and
- work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
You will be based in Brightwater Central in Inglewood but will also work across the two larger disability sites (Marangaroo and East Victoria Park) as required. Travel will be required to assess potential clients in either hospital, disability accommodation or in their own home.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work or Nursing with a current AHPRA registration or AASW membership, or relevant health sector experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, a client-centred approach, and the ability to effectively promote Brightwater services and develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Suitable health industry case management experience. This includes ability and knowledge in assessing clients' clinical and support requirements in facilitating appropriate support along with managing new and existing clients.
- In-depth knowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme Operational Guidelines including access requirements.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate client related documentation and effectively undertake conversations of a sensitive nature with stakeholders.
- Exceptional organisational skills including the ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work autonomously and remotely, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Sound understanding of the disability services, community care support sectors and the health industry, including current knowledge of funding and changes impacting all sectors.
- Strong computer proficiency across the Microsoft suite of applications and relevant client management software platforms.
- Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health legislation, and Disability Services Standards (2013) (desirable).
You will also possess:
- Valid driver’s licence to drive in Western Australia, as defined by the WA Department of Transport (DoT).
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months).
- All NDIS provider requirements, including but not limited to NDIS worker Screening and worked training modules.
