The Opportunity

Brightwater is seeking a Strategic Growth Analyst to support our strategic growth agenda, with a strong focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). This role is pivotal in enabling informed decision-making at the executive level, contributing to the evaluation and execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and strategic alliances.

 

You will work closely with the Business Analytics Manager and Executive team, providing financial insights, market research, and due diligence coordination to support high-impact initiatives that shape the future of Brightwater.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market and competitor mapping to identify potential strategic targets.
  • Perform in-depth research and analysis on companies, markets, and industry trends.
  • Build and maintain financial models for valuation, synergy analysis, and scenario testing.
  • Support the full M&A lifecycle including due diligence, deal structuring, and integration planning.
  • Prepare investment papers, Board submissions, and executive presentations.
  • Coordinate due diligence activities across internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain databases and tools to track deal activity and monitor market trends.
  • Ensure M&A frameworks and policy documents are up to date.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in M&A, corporate finance, business development, or consulting.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills and proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Experience preparing materials for Executive and Board-level audiences.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to synthesise complex data into actionable insights.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A current National Police Certificate (within the last 12 months).
