We are seeking reliable and motivated Hotel Services team members to join the residential aged care team at The Village in Inglewood on a casual basis.

As a valued member of our Hotel Services team you will be responsible for ensuring a clean home-like environment, thorough and efficient laundry services, and preparing meals and refreshments.

To be considered for this rewarding role you must be available to work at least three days each week, with preference given to candidates available on weekdays. There are a variety of shifts available to be covered across the week in this role:

  • AM various shifts between 7.30am-2.30pm
  • PM shifts between 3.30pm-7pm

Candidates will be considered for future similar vacancies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a clean, sanitary and homely environment
  • Providing a quality meal experience for clients that aligns with aged care standards
  • Ordering and maintaining cleaning and kitchen stock
  • Providing an efficient laundry service
  • Comply with FoodSafe and other health codes and regulations 

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar role which must include commercial Kitchen duties, preferably in aged care or a similar setting
  • Knowledge of cooking and food preparation, including safe meal preparation and presentation
  • Understanding of food safety practices – including temperature control and danger zones
  • Familiarity with International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) levels
  • Experience in cleaning and/or laundry services
  • A caring and positive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and problem solve effectively
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
  • A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check
