Brightwater Linen is a division of the Brightwater, providing comprehensive laundry services to clients throughout Western Australia including hospitals, care facilities, hotels, mines and apartments.

 

An opportunity is available for a reliable and motivated Linen Driver to ensure goods are delivered to our clients in a timely and professional manner. The position is also required to assist in the laundry as and when required.

 

This position is based in Malaga and offered on a casual basis with a possibility of on-going employment. There is flexibility in working hours which are anywhere between 5.30am to 7pm, Monday to Friday – with the occasional Saturday shift.

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

 

  • Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Class Driver's License (preferably manual)
  • Experience in HR driving
  • Effective written, verbal and communication skills
  • The ability to work as a flexible and engaging team member
  • Demonstrated ability to approach work with a clear, calm and efficient manner
  • Basic understanding of mechanics (desirable).
  • Previous experience working in a laundry facility (desirable).
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing a service that is customer focused, ensuring all good are delivered to the required standard
  • Ensure goods are delivered as per the schedule in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure truck remains roadworthy and reliable with daily inspection checks and, regular cleaning. Ensure all faults or irregularities are reported immediately
  • Perform truck driving duties including the loading and unloading of goods (trolleys, cages, bins) as required in a safe manner
  • Maintain accurate records of collection and delivery data required for effective service monitoring
  • Report and escalate any issues to the Production Manager or Administrative Assistant
