About Brightwater

At Brightwater, we believe everyone has potential and no one is beyond care. We support people of all ages to live a better quality of life. With a track record dating back to 1901, care is at our core.

We stand beside our clients during times of personal change, using our experience and understanding to provide the support they need. We are building connected, thriving communities where people feel they belong, and we're ready for the complexities that come with ageing and disability, including dementia, Huntington's disease and acquired brain injury.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Manager Safety, Quality & Policy to lead Brightwater's quality management systems, policy governance framework and continuous improvement programs across our aged care, disability and community services.

You'll work collaboratively with operational and corporate leaders to strengthen organisational capability, support accreditation readiness, drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with aged care, disability and regulatory requirements.

This is an opportunity for a strategic and hands-on leader who can translate complex legislative and regulatory requirements into practical systems, processes and improvements that enhance service delivery outcomes.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the implementation, monitoring and ongoing improvement of Brightwater's quality management systems across all service streams.
  • Supporting the General Manager, Safety Quality and Policy to ensure organisational compliance with the Aged Care Act, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS Practice Standards and other applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing the development, review and maintenance of organisational policies, procedures and governance documents.
  • Managing the internal audit program and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented and monitored.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives using recognised quality improvement methodologies.
  • Analysing quality, compliance and audit data to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Providing expert advice and recommendations to leaders on quality, compliance, governance and policy matters.
  • Building strong partnerships with operational and corporate leaders to strengthen accountability and ownership of quality outcomes.
  • Mentoring and developing a team of Quality Improvement Officers and Policy Officers.
  • Contributing to organisational planning, governance and strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Promoting a culture of quality, accountability, continuous improvement and person-centred service delivery across Brightwater.
