Project Support Officer – Technology Services

Full-Time Fixed Term (2 Years) | Corporate Services | Perth, WA

About the role

As a Project Support Officer within our Technology Services team, you’ll provide essential project and administrative support across a range of IT initiatives. Working closely with Project Managers and project teams, you’ll help ensure project activities are well organised, accurately tracked and effectively reported, contributing to strong governance and successful delivery outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills who enjoys coordinating details, supporting multiple priorities and working collaboratively in a structured project environment.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to Project Managers and project teams
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining project documentation, schedules and registers
  • Support project governance activities such as meetings, agendas, minutes and action tracking
  • Track project progress, risks, issues and dependencies under guidance from Project Managers
  • Assist with project financial administration including purchase orders, invoices and cost tracking
  • Coordinate onboarding, access and resource administration for project team members
  • Support the preparation of project reports, updates and communications
  • Act as a point of contact for project‑related queries and assist with stakeholder communications
  • Maintain project records in approved systems and repositories
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities and lessons learned

About you

You are organised, detail‑focused and comfortable working across multiple tasks and workstreams. You’re reliable, proactive and enjoy supporting project delivery in a collaborative environment.

You’ll bring:

  • A qualification in Business, Project Management, IT or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a project support or administrative role within a structured environment
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills with high attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365 tools including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • The ability to work effectively with a range of internal stakeholders and external partners

Desirable:

  • Exposure to project management frameworks or PMO environments
  • Experience supporting technology or system‑based projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Project is highly desirable.
  • Experience in aged care, disability or human services environments
  • Current Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance (issued within the last 12 months)
