Brightwater at Home are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the team and provide care to community clients in their own homes as part of aged care packages and the Community Transition Care Program.

Whilst working in this rewarding role you will see clients in the South West Metropolitan area of Perth. Areas covered in this region include Rockingham to south of Mandurah. To be considered for this role it is mandatory to have a Western Australian driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle as you will visit multiple clients in their own home each shift. Travel to the general Perth Metropolitan area may also be required.

Whilst working as a Community based Registered Nurse with Brightwater at Home you will partner with clients; supporting them to achieve their goals and maintain their independence and quality of life in their own home. You will need exceptional problem solving, time management, and decision-making abilities to promote choice, control, and quality of life for our clients.

The ideal candidate for this role is available to work full-time Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am-4pm each day. There is a contract of up to 76 hours per fortnight available for the successful candidate. Consideration will be given to part-time contracts for candidates who are available to work at least three week days each week between the hours of 8am-4pm. Contract hours and days of work will be negotiated with the successful candidate(s).

Community aged care experience is essential for this position to meet the needs of our clients.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following attributes:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • A minimum of two years experience working as a Registered Nurse within community aged care
  • Competence with wound care, catheters, and diabetes management
  • Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload safely and efficiently whilst maintaining client focus
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than 12 months old
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • WA driver’s licence and reliable car
