This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Therapy Assistants to join our Redcliffe site on a permanent part-time and a casual basis.

Whilst working as a Therapy Assistant you will be an important part of the multi-disciplinary team and provide assistance in all aspects of day-to-day care and individualised therapy, lifestyle and leisure programs. This role focuses on creating meaningful experiences, ensuring each day is the best it can be for our clients by promoting engagement, connection, and well-being.

The successful candidates will be working at Brightwater Redcliffe; a 50 bed facility providing high quality care for clients with medium level needs.

There is a permanent part-time position available with working hours 9am-3pm on Monday and Wednesday each week and 9am-4pm on Thursday each week. To be considered for this role you must be available to work these three days each week. There will also be the opportunity to pick up additional shifts at the site.

We are also seeking an additional casual Therapy Assistant to work at Redcliffe. Therapy Assistants at Redcliffe work Monday to Friday with shift times between 9am-4pm. To be considered for this casual role you must be available to work at least three week days each week between these hours.

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance
  • Experience working as a Therapy Assistant - essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • A positive, proactive and client focused approach
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Western Australian Driver’s licence

Responsibilities include:

  • Provision of goal directed therapy programs in accordance with Care Plan in group or individual settings
  • Provision of recreational based activities to meet social and emotional needs
  • Contribute to the development of innovative therapy programs to improve wellbeing
  • Support volunteers to enhance the site therapy program
  • Contribute to site reporting, accreditation standards and legislative compliance by completing all documentation and reporting incidents
