            This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Hotel Services team members with Kitchenhand, Cleaning and Laundry experience to join our Staff Relief Pool. The pool will cover planned leave across our Mandurah and Waikiki residential facilities on a permanent part-time basis.
To be considered for this role you must have previous experience in a similar role and this must include kitchen duties in a commercial kitchen. Candidates with experience working in aged care will be viewed favourably.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a clean, sanitary and homely environment
 
- Providing a quality meal experience for our clients that aligns with aged care standards
 
- Ordering and maintaining cleaning and kitchen stock
 
- Providing an efficient laundry service
 
- Comply with FoodSafe and other health codes and regulations 
 
To be suitable for this role, you must possess:
- Previous experience in a similar role which must include commercial Kitchen duties, preferably in aged care or a similar setting
 
- Knowledge of cooking and food preparation. This should include an understanding of safe meal preparation and serving presentation
 
- Demonstrated understanding of food safety – including appropriate food temperatures and food temperature danger zones
 
- Knowledge of International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) levels
 
- Knowledge and experience in cleaning and/or laundry services
 
- A caring and positive attitude
 
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
 
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, work effectively under pressure, problem solve and use resources effectively, safely and efficiently
 
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
 
- A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check
 
Eligibility Requirements:
- Willing to work at both the Mandurah and Waikiki facilities
 
- Available a minimum of three weekdays (Monday to Friday) each week
 
- Available for both shift types each day  
- AM various shifts between 6am-4pm
 
- PM various shifts between 3pm and 7pm
