This role will work across our key service of Transitional Accommodation Programme (TAP) This service is based in Marangaroo and consists of 23 beds that provides temporary accommodation to clients referred from a Perth Metro Hospital. The team assist clients with their goal of moving into community living with supports. The service interfaces with the NDIS as clients transition towards their goals. Clients are aged between 16-64 years, have access to onsite nursing, disability support workers and allied health professionals. Clients referred to this service are living with a range of disability including acquired brain injury, mental health needs and other co-morbities. This can include tracheostomy, Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness, TBI, stroke, neurodegenerative conditions (eg. Huntington’s Disease), younger onset dementias.
We are recruiting this role on a permanent part time basis working 30 hours per fortnight!
Our Occupational Therapists work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to actively promote choice, control, and quality of life for our clients. Using your clinical skills and your problem-solving abilities you will gain the full suite of experience in working with neurological and other disabilities in the community. This is a diverse role working with clients and families to optimise their capacity to live more independently in the community through, working with them to meet their goals and maintain their dignity, independence, and comfort.
