The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join our Technology Services team and play a key role in supporting and evolving Brightwater's platform and cloud environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager Information Technology, you will provide technical expertise across Brightwater's platform and cloud technology stack, ensuring reliable, secure and efficient services that support our staff, clients and broader organisation.

This role offers the opportunity to work across infrastructure, cloud platforms, cyber security, service management and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical escalation support and subject matter expertise across platform and cloud technologies.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of technology standards, architecture patterns and governance frameworks.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve system performance, reliability and security.
  • Contributing to cloud, infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives, including a zero-trust approach to security.
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation and as-built diagrams.
  • Supporting incident, problem, change and capacity management processes.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, project teams and external technology partners.
  • Contributing to IT strategy, roadmap planning and continuous improvement activities.

About You

You are a technically capable and solution-focused professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues and driving improvements across modern technology environments.

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud and platform technologies.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • The ability to effectively manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline.
  • Experience within aged care, disability services or a similarly regulated environment is highly regarded.

You will also need:

  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained in the last 12 months
  • A valid driver’s licence as defined by the Department of Trasport WA (DoTWA)
