To help us achieve our Mission, we are seeking capable and person-centred Advanced Skill Therapy Assistant to provide safe and quality care to clients at our The Cove Residential Aged Care site located in Mandurah.

This rewarding position is offering 70 hours per fortnight working Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 3.30pm, however start time can be flexible.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience working as an Advanced Therapy Assistant, specifically supporting our clients

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Aged Care/Disability) and or progress towards an Allied Health Professional tertiary
• Experience working as an Advanced Therapy Assistant and with dementia specific care
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
• A positive, proactive and client focused approach
• A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Western Australian C class Driver’s licence
• Current First Aid Certificate

Responsibilities include:

• Provision of goal directed therapy programs in accordance with their Care Plan in group or individual settings
• Provision of recreational based activities to meet the social and emotional needs of clients
• Contributing to the development of innovative therapy programs to improve the wellbeing of our clients
• Supporting volunteers to enhance the site therapy program
• Contributing to site reporting, accreditation standards and legislative compliance by completing all documentation and reporting incidents
