This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Therapy Assistant to join our dedicated Redcliffe team on a Permanent Part Time basis.

This rewarding position is offering 39 hours per fortnight working on both weeks on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 4pm.

This role focuses on creating meaningful experiences, ensuring each day is the best it can be for our clients by promoting engagement, connection, and well-being.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience working as a Therapy Assistant, specifically supporting our clients. We also welcome applications and interest from New Grads who are looking to further their career path.

Whilst working as a Therapy Assistant you will be an important part of the multi-disciplinary team and provide assistance in all aspects of day-to-day care and individualised therapy, lifestyle and leisure programs.

The successful candidate will be working at our Redcliffe site; 50 private room facility Centrally located near the Burswood entertainment district, Brightwater Redcliffe is a peaceful, suburban home, providing high quality care for people with medium level needs.

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or progress towards)
  • Experience working as a Therapy Assistant and with dementia specific care
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • A positive, proactive and client focused approach
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Western Australian Driver’s licence

Responsibilities include:

  • Provision of goal directed therapy programs in accordance with Care Plan in group or individual settings
  • Provision of recreational based activities to meet social and emotional needs
  • Contribute to the development of innovative therapy programs to improve wellbeing
  • Support volunteers to enhance the site therapy program
  • Contribute to site reporting, accreditation standards and legislative compliance by completing all documentation and reporting incidents
