This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Therapy Assistant to join our Inglewood site on a permanent part-time basis.

Whilst working as a Therapy Assistant you will be an important part of the multi-disciplinary team and provide assistance in all aspects of day-to-day care and individualised therapy, lifestyle and leisure programs. This role focuses on creating meaningful experiences, ensuring each day is the best it can be for our clients by promoting engagement, connection, and well-being.

The successful candidate will be working at Brightwater Inglewood; comprising 128 private rooms and located within our Brightwater Central campus.

This role is being offered as a permanent part-time position with working hours 3pm-8pm on Thursday and Friday each week. To be considered for this role you must be available to work these shifts. There will also be the opportunity to pick up additional shifts at the site.

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance
  • Experience working as a Therapy Assistant
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • A positive, proactive and client focused approach
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Western Australian Driver’s licence

Responsibilities include:

  • Provision of goal directed therapy programs in accordance with Care Plan in group or individual settings
  • Provision of recreational based activities to meet social and emotional needs
  • Contribute to the development of innovative therapy programs to improve wellbeing
  • Support volunteers to enhance the site therapy program
  • Contribute to site reporting, accreditation standards and legislative compliance by completing all documentation and reporting incidents
