We are currently seeking a Therapy Assistant to provide therapy to our elderly clients under the Transitional Care Community (TCC) funding type in the community.

This role focuses on rehabilitating every aspect of the client’s life including personal care (e.g. assisting with showering), community access and exercises. 

This is a permanent part-time position working:

  • 45 hours per fortnight
  • Typical hours would be 7.30am – 12.30pm or 8am – 1pm
  • Flexibility on which days of the week you wish to work
  • with clients living in Mandurah and surrounding suburbs

 

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will be under the direction of physiotherapists and occupational therapists you will work independently and travel to our clients’ homes to provide engaging programs that assist our clients to work toward their functional goals.

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or progress towards)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • The ability to prioritise your workload, problem solve, and work safely and efficiently under pressure without direct supervision
  • A positive, proactive and a client-focused approach
  • A First Aid Certificate (less than 3 years old) including CPR less than 12 months old
  • Current valid driver’s licence to drive in Western Australia, as defined by the WA Department of Transport. (essential)
  • A reliable, insured car (essential)
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
