We are seeking an accomplished Therapy Assistant to join our dedicated Madeley team on a casual basis. Drawing on your established experience—particularly in dementia care—you will deliver engaging, person-centred support that helps clients thrive while contributing confidently to a multidisciplinary care environment.

The role centres on creating meaningful experiences and supporting each client’s engagement, connection and overall wellbeing.

As a Therapy Assistant, you will be a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting all aspects of day-to-day care and the delivery of individualised therapy, lifestyle and leisure programs.

The successful candidate will be based at our Madeley site, a 110-bed facility providing dementia-specific and non-dementia-specific care. Ideally, applicants will have at least 12 months’ experience as a Therapy Assistant, including experience supporting people living with dementia.

To be considered for this permanent part-time position the successful candidate must  work 30 hours a fortnight on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10am to 6pm both weeks.

Essential criteria

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, or current progress towards this qualification
  • Experience working as a Therapy Assistant, including in dementia-specific care
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • A positive, proactive and client-focused approach
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance issued within the past 12 months
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • A current Western Australian driver’s licence

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver goal-directed therapy programs in accordance with individual care plans, in group or one-to-one settings
  • Provide recreational activities that support clients’ social and emotional needs
  • Contribute to the development of innovative therapy programs that enhance wellbeing
  • Support volunteers in enhancing the site’s therapy program
  • Support site reporting, accreditation requirements and legislative compliance by completing all required documentation and incident reports
