This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Therapy Assistants to work at The Village site in Inglewood on a permanent part-time or a casual basis.

Whilst working as a Therapy Assistant you will be an important part of the multi-disciplinary team and provide assistance in all aspects of day-to-day care and individualised therapy, lifestyle and leisure programs. This role focuses on creating meaningful experiences, ensuring each day is the best it can be for our clients by promoting engagement, connection, and well-being.

The Village has 55 private rooms and is a dementia specific site.  To be considered for this role candidates must experience working as a Therapy Assistant, and this must include the delivery of care to clients with dementia.

There is a permanent part-time position available with working hours 9am-4pm on Tuesday and Wednesday each week. To be considered for this role you must be available to work these shifts each week. There will also be the opportunity to pick up additional shifts at the site.

We are also seeking additional casual Therapy Assistants to work at the Village. Therapy Assistants at The Village work Monday to Friday with shift times of 9am-4pm and 2pm-6pm. To be considered for casual work you must be available to work at least three week days each week between the hours of 9am-6pm.

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

• Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance
• Experience working as a Therapy Assistant, and this must include dementia specific care
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
• A positive, proactive and client focused approach
• A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Western Australian Driver’s licence

Responsibilities include:

• Provision of goal directed therapy programs in accordance with Care Plan in group or individual settings
• Provision of recreational based activities to meet social and emotional needs
• Contribute to the development of innovative therapy programs to improve wellbeing
• Support volunteers to enhance the site therapy program
• Contribute to site reporting, accreditation standards and legislative compliance by completing all documentation and reporting incidents
