We are seeking reliable and motivated Hotel Services team members to join the residential aged care team at our Inglewood site on a permanent part-time basis.

As a valued member of our Hotel Services team you will be responsible for ensuring a clean, sanitary, well-maintained and home-like environment, thorough and efficient laundry services, and preparing meals and refreshments for and with clients of Brightwater Care Group, following health codes and regulations at all times.

To be considered for this role you must have previous experience in a similar role and this must include kitchen duties in a commercial kitchen. Candidates with experience working in aged care kitchens will be viewed favourably.

To be considered for this rewarding role you must be available to work at least three week days each week, with preference given to candidates available for AM and PM shifts. There are a variety of shifts available to be covered across the week in this role:

• AM various shifts between 6.30am-2pm
• PM various shifts between 3pm-7.30pm

Rosters and days of work will be negotiated with successful candidates.

Candidates will also be considered for future similar vacancies.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a clean, sanitary and homely environment
• Providing a quality meal experience for our clients that aligns with aged care standards
• Ordering and maintaining cleaning and kitchen stock
• Providing an efficient laundry service
• Comply with FoodSafe and other health codes and regulations 

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

• Previous experience in a similar role which must include commercial Kitchen duties, preferably in aged care or a similar setting
• Knowledge of cooking and food preparation. This should include an understanding of safe meal preparation and serving presentation
• Demonstrated understanding of food safety – including appropriate food temperatures and food temperature danger zones
• Knowledge of International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) levels
• Knowledge and experience in cleaning and/or laundry services
• A caring and positive attitude
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, work effectively under pressure, problem solve and use resources effectively, safely and efficiently
• A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
• A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check
