We are seeking a Hotel Services Team Lead to join The Oaks in Waikiki residential aged care site.
Whilst working in this rewarding role you will work collaboratively with the Service Manager and site-based teams, including the Hospitality Services Officer, to deliver high-quality hospitality services across cleaning, laundry, and food services. This role ensures a safe, clean, and home-like environment and the delivery of nutritious meals that meet client needs, aligned with Brightwater standards and compliance requirements.
This is a permanent part-time role and the successful candidate will work 46 hours per fortnight. The hours of work are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 7.30am-1.30pm and Thursday 1pm-6pm. To be considered for this role you must be available to work these hours each week.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure a clean, sanitary, well-maintained, and home-like environment by performing and supporting daily cleaning and laundry tasks
- Work in collaboration with the Hospitality Support Officer and site-based teams
- Oversee and support the provision of high-quality, safe, and nutritious meals and refreshments to residents, ensuring compliance with Brightwater’s Food Safety Plan, HACCP principles, and dietary guidelines
- Monitor and assess the quality of meals, cleaning, and laundry services provided on site, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Complete and review audit documentation and compliance records including FoodSafe logs, and provide feedback to key stakeholders
- Order and maintain cleaning and kitchen stock
- Coach and mentor Hotel Services staff, assisting with onboarding, induction, and ongoing training
- Attend client and representative meetings, acting as a key Hotel Services representative
- Hospitality coordination of site-based special events
- Collaboration with Catering team and management; ensuring timely delivery of orders, quality checks and feedback given as required
To be suitable for this role, you must possess:
- Current Food Safety Supervisors Certificate (or willing to obtain one if selected)
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a related setting
- Leadership skills and the ability to coach others and provide constructive feedback
- Knowledge of cooking and food preparation. This should include an understanding of safe meal preparation and serving presentation
- Knowledge in food allergen management, texture modified diets and IDDSI
- Knowledge and experience in cleaning and/or laundry services - desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including those with dementia and/or high support needs
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, work effectively under pressure, problem solve and use resources effectively, safely and efficiently
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
- A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check
