Full time | People & Culture | WA

Shape culture. Build capability. Create impact.

At Brightwater, we believe everyone has potential — and no one is beyond care. We are building connected, thriving communities where people feel they belong. Now, we are looking for a dynamic and forward‑thinking Manager Organisational Development (OD) to help us shape the future of how we learn, lead and grow.

If you are passionate about organisational culture, leadership capability and meaningful change, this is your opportunity to make a genuine difference.

Why you will love this role

In this newly created role of Manager, Organisational Development reporting to the General Manager People and Culture - Operations you will lead the OD function and oversee our organisation‑wide culture, non-clinical learning and capability strategy. You will design innovative experiences, empower leaders, and drive initiatives that uplift performance and make Brightwater an even better place to work.

You will work closely with senior leaders and People & Culture colleagues, influencing decisions and bringing to life programs that improve engagement, capability and culture.

What you will be doing

  • Leading the design and delivery of leadership development, culture programs, capability uplift and enterprise learning initiatives.
  • Embedding Brightwater’s mission, values and behaviours into the employee experience.
  • Partnering with leaders to build capability in coaching, change leadership, performance and workforce planning.
  • Using data, insights and emerging technologies, including ethical AI, to drive evidence‑based OD decisions and measure impact.
  • Overseeing compliance training (non‑clinical) and ensuring workforce readiness for organisational change.

What success looks like

  • OD initiatives are clearly aligned to business priorities and deliver visible uplift in capability and cultural maturity.
  • Leaders feel more confident, capable and accountable and own culture within their teams.
  • Our culture is intentional, values‑led and supported through our systems and ways of working.
  • Stakeholders look to OD early for strategic advice, partnership and problem‑solving.
  • Change is communicated clearly, adopted faster, and supported by meaningful engagement.

What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Organisational Development, HR or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven success leading OD, culture, leadership or capability initiatives in a medium–large, complex organisation.
  • Strong coaching, facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Experience leading a high‑performing team and delivering strategy‑aligned outcomes.
  • Comfort working with data, workforce insights and modern OD technologies (experience with AI‑enabled tools highly regarded).
  • Understanding of the aged care or disability sector (desirable).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check, National Police Clearance (within 12 months) and C‑Class Driver’s Licence.

Why Brightwater?

  • Join a meaningful organisation where impact is part of everyday work.
  • Be part of a People & Culture team that values innovation, curiosity and collaboration.
  • Lead significant culture and capability initiatives that shape the future of our workforce.
  • Enjoy a supportive environment committed to diversity, inclusion and continuous learning.
  • On-site café
  • The ability to salary package $18,550 each year
  • Free access to Brightwater’s in-house gym and free parking
