Manager Capacity Building – Disability Services

We are now seeking an experienced and values-driven Manager Capacity Building to lead our Capacity Building Program (CBP) and help shape the future of our Disability Services across the community.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, Disability Services, the Manager Capacity Building plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of Brightwater’s Capacity Building Program. You will drive the program’s strategic direction and performance, ensuring strong operational oversight, high-performing teams, exceptional service quality, compliance with NDIS standards, and long-term financial sustainability.
In this role, you will lead and inspire a diverse interdisciplinary team — including Support Coordinators, Allied Health Professionals, Behaviour Support Practitioners, and other community-focused staff — to deliver high-quality, person-driven and culturally safe supports. Your leadership will empower teams to meet clients’ needs and create meaningful, life-enhancing outcomes.

· Full time position working 75 hours a fortnight
· Opportunity to work at either Brightwater Central located in Inglewood or our Oats Street site located in Victoria Park
· Working core business hours Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Service & Operational Leadership
· Lead and manage an Interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, effective service delivery across the CBP.
· Align services with Brightwater’s Clinical Governance Framework, NDIS Practice Standards, and evidence-based practice.
· Promote client-driven, strengths-based goals that uphold culturally safe and person-centred service delivery.
Strategy, Planning & Growth
· Develop and implement operational and business plans aligned with Brightwater’s strategic priorities. Monitor KPIs and Identify opportunities for service growth, diversification, and improved participant experience.
Financial & Performance Management
· Manage the program within approved budgets and maintain strong financial controls.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
· Ensure full compliance with the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Framework.
· Lead incident management, complaints resolution, and continuous improvement activities.
Workforce Leadership & Culture
· Coach, develop, and support Team Leaders and practitioners to build capability and accountability.
Stakeholder Engagement
· Build strong relationships with participants, families, carers, service partners, advocacy bodies, and regulators.
You Will Bring:
· Extensive experience in disability or health services, with a proven track record of senior operational leadership in community-based programs and person-centred service delivery.
· Relevant professional qualifications — such as AHPRA registration and/or tertiary studies in business, health, or service management — demonstrating your commitment to excellence and continuous learning.
· Strong commercial acumen, including financial oversight, analytical capability, and strategic planning skills that support sustainable service growth.
· Outstanding interpersonal and communication strengths, enabling you to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders, and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
· A thorough understanding of key legislation, sector standards, and the NDIS framework, ensuring services are safe, compliant, and aligned with best practice.
· Essential credentials, including NDIS Worker Screening and a current WA C-Class Driver’s Licence issued within the past 12 months, along with any additional compliance requirements relevant to the role
