Due to a combination of growth and planned leave we are looking for a Fixed Term Rostering Officer to join our Centralised Rostering Service on a 4 month Fixed Term Contract ending May 2026.  Become a vital team member that ensures the rostering of quality care staff that meet our resident needs. Reporting to the Rostering Team Lead, this position works collaboratively as part of a team of Rostering Officers to ensure rosters are cost effective and within budget, are compliant with employment agreements and staff contracts, and meet operational workforce requirements to deliver safe and quality care to clients.

This position is part of the Centralised Rostering Service, located at Brightwater Central in Inglewood and will provide rostering support to Residential Aged Care sites. This is a part-time position guaranteeing a minimum of 60 hours (4 days per week) from Monday - Thursday both Week 1 and Week 2. The ideal candidate must be available to work a flexible roster with a combination of shifts allocated including:

  • 0700-1500
  • 0800-1600
  • 0830-1630
  • 0900-1700
  • 1100-1900

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent data entry and computer skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft applications and previous experience with rostering/scheduling systems.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and the ability to interpret enterprise agreements and staff contracts.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate and build rapport with a wide range of people in various environments.
  • A customer focused work ethic and the ability to be responsible and flexible in dynamic environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively with minimal supervision and under pressure,
  • A clear and friendly professional telephone manner.
  • Prior experience in operational rostering (desirable).

 

You will also need:

  • Evidence of an up-to-date flu vaccination
  • A NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance (less than 12 months old)
