People Engagement and Compliance Officer

We are currently seeking for a Payroll Engagement and Compliance Officer be based at Brightwater Central in Inglewood on a permanent part time basis working 9 days per fortnight.

 

Reporting to the Payroll Operations Lead, this position is responsible for the creation and ongoing management of employee and Key Personnel master data, including the generation, distribution and management of employment variations and ensuring employee records are accurately maintained in accordance with contractual requirements. This role also undertakes quality compliance and assurance activities in relation to employee records and working rights in line with legislative and internal policy requirements.

 

Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Employment variation management including ongoing maintenance of the HRIS database for employee and key personnel records
  • Ensuring ongoing employee compliance in line with regulatory, legislative and internal policy requirements
  • Providing customer support and advice to over 2,600 employees

As an engagement and compliance professional, you will have a keen interest in the ongoing management of contractual and compliance requirements. To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Previous experience working in a compliance team or similar environment including the use of and experience in the use of a notable HRIS (highly desirable)
  • Previous experience within in the health services sector in a medium to large organisation (highly desirable).
  • Strong numerical ability and data entry skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people in various environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, problem solve, and meet deadlines while maintaining focus.
  • Strong customer-service focus with the ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Have or be able to obtain a satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained in the last 12 months.
