We are currently seeking applications for a Podiatrist to join our Brightwater at Home Services team, supporting our TCC, CHSP and Support At Home Programs operations South of River. As we have the backing from a strong multidisciplinary team spanning 80 passionate nursing and allied health practitioners, we have the capacity to bring on individuals at all skill levels from graduate to senior. Soft skills, passion and team fit are the key!

This position will be awarded on a permanent part time basis working 45 hours per fortnight with some flexibility to arrange shifts for the right candidate!

Our Podiatrists work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide quality, appropriate and relevant podiatry services to meet the needs of Brightwater Care Group's clients.

You will be responsible for supporting our clients regarding the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. This includes treating conditions resulting from bone and joint disorders such as arthritis and soft-tissue and muscular pathologies, as well as neurological and circulatory disease. We also have an interesting mixed caseload including wound debridement, callus management and footwear prescriptions allowing for variety in your practice!

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Be qualified and suitably registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Podiatrist.
  • Eligible for membership with the Australian Podiatry Association (active membership preferred).
  • Have a strong commitment to providing safe, high quality care, within scope of professional role.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability liaise effectively with diverse individuals, clients, community members, colleagues and supervisors.
  • Strong person-centred skills in communicating and engaging with clients with high support needs including cognitive impairment, brain injury, and dementia.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, problem solve and meet deadlines.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months).
  • Possess a current Driver’s License as defined by the Department of Transport WA (DoT)
  • Evidence of up to date flu vaccination
