Join Brightwater as an Enrolled Nurse – Disability Services, Younger Onset Dementia (Kingsley)

At Brightwater, we believe in creating a workplace where inclusion, collaboration, and innovation thrive. As an Enrolled Nurse in our Disability Services team, you’ll be supported from day one with a comprehensive orientation, ongoing coaching, and 24/7 access to senior staff—either on-site or by phone. We also proudly support Enrolled Nurses who are on the pathway to becoming Registered Nurses.

About the Role:
We’re currently seeking experienced Enrolled Nurses to join our team at Kingsley for:

  • Fridays, 7:00 am – 3:00 PM
  • Permanent Part – Time, opportunity for additional shifts available*

About the Kingsley (YOD) Site:

Our Kingsley site has 2 Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes for participants living with Younger Onset Dementia (YOD).

YOD refers to any form of dementia diagnosed in people under the age of 65. While dementia is more common in older people, it can also happen to people in their fifties, forties, or even thirties. Right now, around 29,000 Australians are living with younger onset dementia, and this number is expected to grow in the future.

Because YOD is not as common, it can take longer for people to get the right diagnosis. Many people are still working, raising kids, and managing a home when they find out they have dementia. This can make life very challenging. Family and friends might not understand at first because the person still looks healthy. Some people with dementia lose touch with friends or stop doing hobbies they used to love.
