We are currently seeking applications for Therapy Assistants – Massage Therapy to join our Brightwater at Home team, working in the Perth metropolitan area (South of the river). In particular, we are looking for applicants in the coastal areas, south of the river down to Mandurah. This position is being offered on a permanent part time basis working 30 hours per fortnight! (2 days per week) 

Our Therapy Assistants work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide quality, appropriate and relevant remedial services to meet the needs of Brightwater At Home's clients who live in the community. You will work under the direction of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to provide engaging programs that assist our clients to work toward their functional goals.

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • The ability to prioritise your workload, problem solve, and work safely and efficiently under pressure without direct supervision
  • A positive, proactive and a client-focused approach
  • A Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or progress towards), or significant experience in a related setting and a willingness to undertake training
  • A WA drivers licence and own a reliable car
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
  • Evidence of up to date flu vaccination

 Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the holistic needs of our clients are met in accordance with their Care Plan by facilitating a variety of therapeutic and recreational programs, in this case Massage Therapy focused care.
  • Under the direction of the physiotherapist or suitably qualified health practitioner, conducting a massage therapy program within the scope of the position.
  • Contributing to the development of innovative therapy programs to improve the wellbeing of our clients
