About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Disability Rostering Team Lead to provide leadership within our Workforce Optimisation Hub and support the delivery of a high-quality, centralised rostering service across our Disability services.

In this key role, you will lead and mentor a team of Disability Rostering Officers, ensuring rosters are efficient, compliant, cost-effective and aligned with operational workforce requirements. You will also play an active role in embedding and continuously improving Brightwater’s centralised rostering model while supporting safe, quality care outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and support a team of Disability Rostering Officers to deliver efficient and consistent rostering services
  • Oversee and maintain master rosters to ensure workforce requirements are met within budget and enterprise agreement parameters
  • Collaborate closely with Service Managers, Operations Managers and Recruitment to proactively meet current and future workforce needs
  • Provide hands-on operational rostering support to allocated services, including roster maintenance, leave management and payroll-related queries
  • Support the development, testing and implementation of rostering systems, processes and procedures
  • Monitor data integrity and prepare accurate rostering and workforce utilisation reports
  • Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities using a continuous quality improvement approach
  • Support performance management, staff development and team capability building
  • Act as a positive change agent during the ongoing implementation of centralised rostering within Disability services

About You

You are a confident, detail-oriented leader with strong rostering expertise and a passion for supporting operational teams in complex environments. You thrive in fast-paced settings, bring a problem-solving mindset and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in rostering, scheduling or workforce deployment
  • Previous leadership or team leader experience, ideally within health, disability or aged care
  • Strong knowledge of rostering systems, HR practices and enterprise agreements
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • High-level computer skills, particularly across Microsoft applications
  • Strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • A customer-focused, flexible and responsive approach to work
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and work calmly under pressure
  • Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
  • Current National Police Certificate (within the last 12 months)
