Workforce Rostering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Workforce Rostering Manager to lead our centralised rostering function across Residential Aged Care, Disability, Catering and Allied Health Consultancy services. This is a pivotal leadership role that blends operational excellence, people leadership and strategic workforce planning.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager Workforce Optimisation, you will lead and develop a multi‑disciplinary rostering team to deliver efficient, compliant and cost‑effective workforce solutions. You’ll act as a subject matter expert for RosterOn, champion best‑practice rostering processes, and support the organisation’s transition from transactional rostering to data‑driven workforce planning.

This role works in close partnership with Operations, People & Culture, Finance and Service Managers to ensure workforce outcomes align with operational, financial and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of a centralised rostering model across multiple service streams
  • Manage and develop Rostering Team Leaders, Rostering Officers and the Pool & Reporting Coordinator
  • Ensure all rostering practices comply with relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements, Aged Care and Disability Standards
  • Support and implement change management initiatives, new systems and improved ways of working
  • Maintain and continually improve master rosters in line with approved templates, funding models and budgets
  • Partner with People & Culture and Operations to improve key workforce metrics including labour cost, absenteeism, retention and time‑to‑fill
  • Provide high‑quality workforce data, insights and reports to support strategic decision‑making
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Create and embed streamlined rostering policies, procedures, tools and templates

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Significant experience in workforce rostering, workforce management or business support roles
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing customer‑focused teams in fast‑paced environments
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial instruments, and ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Experience working within complex service environments (aged care, disability, health or similar)
  • Confidence leading change and building effective partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Advanced problem‑solving skills with a strong eye for detail and continuous improvement
  • High-level communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills
  • Strong system capability, including Microsoft Office and workforce management systems (Power BI experience highly regarded)
  • A current Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
  • A National Police Certificate (issued within the last 12 months)
