About the Role
As an HR Officer, you will provide expert advice and support across the employee lifecycle, partnering with leaders and corporate functions to deliver high-quality HR services. You’ll play a key role in driving retention and attraction strategies, supporting organisational projects, and ensuring compliance with industrial relations frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate and triage all leader and employee requests, providing consistent guidance on HR policies, procedures, and processes while delivering services within agreed timeframes.
· Provide day-to-day advice on employment matters, policies, and employee life cycle queries, including contractual changes, new positions, job descriptions, roster reviews, and straightforward performance management.
· Partner with corporate functions such as payroll, recruitment, and WHS to ensure accurate records are maintained and captured promptly.
· Coach and mentor leaders on conduct and capability issues, offering industrially sound advice, particularly during probation and performance reviews.
· Deliver HR retention and attraction reporting for Executives and senior leaders, working closely with the HR People Partner to analyse trends and develop proactive solutions.
· Contribute to the review of policies, frameworks, and guidelines, including education and training initiatives for the business.
· Support special projects and annual activities such as performance reviews, remuneration reviews, succession planning, and talent identification.
· Identify areas for improvement using a continuous quality improvement mindset to enhance efficiency and maintain process integrity.
What We’re Looking For
· Demonstrated HR experience in a similar role (experience in Aged Care, Disability, Health or related industries is advantageous).
· Sound understanding of Australian industrial relations frameworks, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and Enterprise/Individual Agreements.
· Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise confidently at all levels while maintaining confidentiality and delivering outstanding customer service.
· Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to manage competing demands effectively.
· Experience in HR metric reporting, including interpreting data and developing actionable recommendations for retention and attraction trends.
· Understanding of payroll and HRIS systems; knowledge of Pay Global is highly regarded.
· Ability to confidently advise on HR matters throughout the employment cycle.
· A collaborative team player who thrives in a flexible and adaptive environment.
· Relevant tertiary qualification (or working towards) in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
· A current WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence and a satisfactory National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months).
