We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our Brightwater at Home Team, overseeing our dedicated team in the southern suburbs of Perth. You will ideally live in one of the following suburbs:

  • Piara Waters
  • Seville Grove
  • Southern River
  • Cockburn
  • Gosnells
  • Wandi

In this role, you’ll provide ongoing support, training, and leadership to our Community Support Workers (CSWs), working closely with a customer-focused team to ensure the highest quality of care.

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (aged care/disability) with experience in providing direct care and support 
  • Strong commitment to providing, with the capability to deliver, safe high-quality care, a dementia care leadership role, and dementia care training.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of human resource management principles, including experience in staff recruitment and selection, performance coaching, and training and development.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to deal with pressure, excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to be flexible and adapt in a dynamic environment, and strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Advanced manual handling skills, with a "Manual Handling Champion certificate" (desirable).
  • Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (desirable).
  • Experience in working with people with dementia, including those with adverse behaviours (desirable).
  • Experience in working with people with mental health issues and/or illnesses (desirable).
  • First Aid Certificate less than 3 years old.
  • Valid driver’s licence to drive in Western Australia, as defined by the WA Department of Transport (DoT).
  • A safe, registered, and suitably insured motor vehicle able to be used for work purposes.
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months.
